Mi presento
I was born in Sicily and I got my degree in European Languages and Cultures (English, Spanish and Italian) at Catania University in 2007, a certificate (CEDILS) for Italian teaching in 2007, a training teacher course (CAP) in Spain, at Jaén University in 2008 and a Master in Applied Linguistics to English as a FL, in 2010.
I've been working in Spain as a curious, committed and passionate English-Italian teacher, since 2008, both at private and run-state schools. Currently I am based in Castellón, where I'm working as an Italian teacher, at the EOI.
Over the last few years, I have promoted some creative projects with my students, focusing my attention on a different way of evaluation, where the students themselves have made up their own "final exams" which have been carried out as a kind of competition game, organized in different tasks,( graded reader books, Moodle tasks, Quizlet, Kahoot and other classroom tasks) in a blended learning approach, promoting peer-evaluation whenever possible.
It has been a great experience and they have become more autonomous and got more engaged with their learning process. Some “creative” youtube videos have been produced as a final evaluation task and again we have arranged a sort of final competition to vote for the best ones.
Basically my idea is to make them learn by doing projects, creative and meaningful tasks, in order to make their learning personal and memorable.
Sometimes I have also included the e-PEL, to foster their self-evaluation', reflection and responsability about their learning.

Even if I am teaching Italian since 2016 I am still a member of the IATEFL and the "Creative for Change in Language Education group
The C Group is not so much an organization with a dogma but a collection of individuals and a cluster of ideas, many of which the members hold in common. The initial point of contact is our shared conviction that creativity can be reinforced in ELT through collective action. The rest is part of a continuing process of exploration.
